The enigmatic Buddhas smile is a result of the
Buddhas Enlightenment - the full realization
of impermanence (that the world is unreal)
and abiding in the 'flow of existence' which
is the eternal 'now' or Nirvana.

Canvas - Angkor Wat - One of the largest religious monuments - Hinduism and Buddhism
Angkor Wat or "City/Capital of Temples"
is a temple complex in Cambodia and
one of the largest religious monuments
in the world, on a site measuring 162.6
hectares (1,626,000 m2 or 402 acres).
Originally constructed as a Hindu temple
dedicated to the god Vishnu for the
Khmer Empire. Towards the end of the
12th century, Angkor Wat gradually
transformed from a Hindu centre of
worship to Buddhism, which continues
to the present day.
It was built by the Khmer King
Suryavarman II in the early 12th century
in Yaśodharapura (Angkor), the capital of
the Khmer Empire.
The monument was made out of 5-10 million
sandstone blocks with a maximum weight of
1.5 tons each. In fact, the entire city of
Angkor used up far greater amounts of stone
than all the Egyptian pyramids combined,
and occupied an area significantly greater
than modern-day Paris.
Tourism reached over a million in 2007.
