En esta zona no hay veredas y el bosque es muy inaccesible, mas aun luego del Huracan Maria y sus daños. La calle principal que lo cruza es la Panoramica - o La PR 143. Esta se llega desde SJ via PR 2, luego PR 10 en Arecibo, una coneccion elaborada la PR 10 se pasa a la PR 123 (muchas curvas) y luego se regresa a la PR 10 saliendo de Adjuntas, donde la PR 10 hacia Ponce pasa por la entrada de la PR 143 (lado inquierdo) y luego de muchas curvas se llega a Cerro Puntas, donde la calle es mas ligera. Este tiene in espacio para carros en la entrada a la izquierda, y aunque la calle del pico esta abierta sus condicones de erosion y derrumbes es tan severa (fecha de Nov 2020) que nadie debe tratar de llegar en carro, si no subiendo la cuesta - que es muy empinada y pedregoza. Al bajar se debe tener mucho cuidado de bajar muy lento para evitar accidentes - navegando por las secciones menos pedregozas. La vista arriba dependera de si hay neblina o no, y las condiciones del clima. El bosque, situado en la región central de la isla, cubre 6.945 cuerdas (aproximadamente 7.000 acres) de las montañas, Las montañas de Toro Negro tienen alturas que alcanzan hasta 4,389 pies (1,337 metros) e incluyen Cerro de Punta, (el pico más alto de la isla), Cerro Jayuya y Cerro Rosa, los tres picos más altos de la isla. Toro Negro tiene varios parques en la zona. Se extiende por zonas dentro de los municipios de Jayuya, Ponce, Orocovis, Juana Díaz y Ciales, y consta de siete partes no contiguas de tierra. El segmento más grande del bosque se encuentra en los municipios de Jayuya y Ponce. El 40% de la superficie de bosque estatal de Toro Negro se encuentra en el Barrio Anón de Ponce. Luego en la PR 143 esta El Cerro Maravillas y un parque con vista a Ponce, mas alante El Lago El Guineo que usualmente no tiene letrero, finalmente hay comida criolla en 'La Divisoria' - donde parte la PR 149. --- ENGLISH: The Bosque de Toro Negro (Puerto Rico) is a very dense and steep rain forest for the most part. In this area there are no trails and the forest is very inaccessible, even more after Hurricane Maria and its damage. The main street that crosses it is the Panoramica - or La PR 143. This is reached from SJ via PR 2, then PR 10 in Arecibo, an elaborate connection pr 10 is passed to PR 123 (many curves) and then you return to PR 10 leaving Adjuntas, where PR 10 towards Ponce passes through the entrance of PR 143 (left side) and after many curves you reach Cerro Puntas, where the street is better. Then in PR 143 is El Cerro Maravillas and a park overlooking Ponce, further is Lake El Guineo which usually has no sign, finally there is Creole food in 'The Divider' (Divisoria or the border) - where PR 149 begins.
