Sri Aurobindo - India

Sri Aurobindo moved from a complete
English education (he gained a classical
scholarship to King's College, Cambridge)
to being a professor, political activist
and after a period in jail - were God
showed him 'his wonders' - he retired
to the spiritual life. His breadth is hard
to fathom. He was revered in India in
a level with Sri Ramana Maharashi,
but were very different indeed.
Many consider him a philosopher,
but since he worked from the stillness
of the Mind, he transcended that label...
